6 MONTHS IN TEL AVIV
In 2016, my husband went on sabbatical from his teaching post at the University of British Columbia and we moved to Tel Aviv. We rented a loft in Yafa and I spent the next six months eating, drinking, dancing and culture-crawling my way across the city. It was a great opportunity to explore the rest of Israel and, though it proved quite more difficult than I anticipated, I also traveled elsewhere in the region.
